LSC-North Harris was granted depository status in 1974. All patrons are welcome to browse our collection of Government documents in print or access government information digitally via library computers. For assistance with government information, ask the Librarians at the Reference Desk.
The League of Nations was founded as part of the Treaty of Versailles after the First World War in 1919. Its purpose was to provide a forum for resolving international disputes. Although proposed by U.S. President Woodrow Wilson, the U.S. never became a member. The League ended in 1946, and the United Nations continues much of its work.

Deals with issues confronting humanity in the 21st century such as peace and security, climate change, sustainable development, human rights, disarmament, terrorism, humanitarian and health emergencies, gender equality, governance, and food production.
