STAT!Ref by TDS Health provides the following tools:

STAT!Ref Library Full-text healthcare library. Browse-able by title or searchable by keyword.
BoardVitals

An interactive, high-quality, effective and powerful board review tool. Provides practice for ARRT Mock Exam, ARRT Radiography, NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN.

BoardVitals Medical Exam Prep Mobile App (use the same login info for BoardVitals)

EBMcalc (formerly MedCalc 3000) EMBcalc includes easy to use interactive tools including converters, MathCalc, equations, clinical criteria, and decision trees.
STAT!Ref Evidence Alerts

The STAT!Ref Evidence Alerts system provides e-mail delivery and access to evidence-based medicine (EBM) information from current research of over 130 premier clinical journals. The STAT!Ref Evidence Alerts system works with McMaster University (McMaster PLUS) delivering pre-rated EBM alerts that are qualified, then rated for clinical relevance and newsworthiness by a panel of practicing physicians. 

You can set alerts focused on different healthcare disciplines.

STAT!Ref Mobile App

Stat!Ref app  To activate the free STAT!Ref app:

  1. Create your account
    • Login to STAT!Ref online through the Lone Star College Research Databases page.
    • Choose "Profile" and "Register" in the top right corner to create a free STAT!Ref account.
  2. Activate your login
    • Once logged in to your own account, click on your name next to "Welcome"
    • Click on "Anywhere Login Account"
    • Click the big "Activate" button
  3. Download the app
    • Download the STAT!Ref app from the app store on your mobile device.
    • Open the app and login with the details from the account that you just created for STAT!Ref.

The app stays activated for 90 days. After this time, simply log back in to the database, log in to your Stat!Ref account, and click "Activate/Renew" again. 

Off-campus... now what?

Use your 14-digit library barcode number (located on the back of your student ID card).

Don't have an ID?  Get one from the library or fill out the online request form to get a barcode number.
