Step 4: Exporting to an SVG File

The process will be a little different depending on the application that you are using.

Exporting in Adobe Illustrator

  1. Select File > Export > Export As
  2. Navigate to where you would like to save the file
  3. Name the file
  4. In the dropdown box Save as type select SVG
  5. Click Export
  6. Use the defaults and click OK

Exporting in Inkscape

 

  1. Select File > Save as
  2. Navigate to where you'd like to save the file
  3. Name the file
  4. Click Save
