Step 2: Import into App

Step 2: Import the Picture into a Vector Graphics Apps

The process will be a little different depending on the application that you are using.

Importing into Adobe Illustrator

  1. Create a New Document
  2. Select File > Place and then navigate to the file and open it
  3. Drag the cursor across the canvas to show the picture
  4. Rotate and Crop the picture so that only the logo is visible

 

Importing into Inkscape

  1.  Create a New Document
  2. Select File > Import then navigate to the file and open in
  3. Use the default setting and click ok
  4. Rotate as needed

Because of how image trace works in Inkscape, you do not need to crop the image.
