LSCS Libraries subscribes to a wide range of online resources, which provide full-text access to a long list of academic journals, magazines, and newspapers.. Most of our databases let you link directly to a particular publication title so that you can browse or search . To see if we have a particular publication available, check the Full Text Finder tool.
Use the permanent link listed in the database record for that publication. Each database vendor may call it something slightly different: permalink, stable link, permanent link. You will know it is a good link that will get you back to that page if it includes the library proxy information (lscsproxy.lonestar.edu).
Why link to the article instead of downloading it and uploading the PDF into D2L?
Depending on the database, it will vary about how to get a permanent link to the journal.
To access the Online Library Resources from Off-campus, all students, faculty and staff will need to login to verify their connection with Lone Star.
The LSCS Libraries Authentication Page will appear when you click any link for Library resource such as a database or ebook. Students and faculty can login using their 14 digit library barcode number from the back of their Lone Star College ID. If they do not have a library barcode, they can also login using the alternate link under the barcode box marked "myLoneStar Username & Password Login"
(Please note: the myLoneStar username and password login method will not work if the resource is purchased by an individual campus. If it has the name of a single campus next to the database, you will need to login using your Library barcode number).
