Virtual Reference Services: Meeting with Your Librarian

How to ask librarians questions via Chat Reference, Email, and Virtual Reference

Meeting with Your Librarian

Before your meeting, the librarian will send you an email with a link to the Webex Meeting Room. You can enter the room by clicking on the link. You may want to enter the room 5 or 10 minutes early to resolve any technical issues.

For your meeting, make sure to have a copy of the assignment and class syllabus ready, as well as any work you have done accessible.

During the meeting, the librarian will communicate primarily through audio. They may share their computer screen so that they can walk you through using certain databases or how to construct citations.

Librarians will not use their webcam during the meeting, and if you join the meeting with your webcam turned on, they will turn yours off.
