Virtual Reality is the use of technology to make you feel as if you are in another world. Using techniques such as Stereoscopic Displays and Stereo Sound to fool the senses, users feel like they are really there - whether 'there' is in inside the human lung, in outer space, or walking through a famous panting. Through the use of special controllers and motion tracking sensors, users can interact with objects in this environment.
DIY Virtual Reality. Simply open your Smartphone to a VR video, like YouTube 360, or download the Google Cardboard app (iOs or Android). Then insert your smartphone into the headset to view your content.
The Library has a class set of 24 leather Virtual Reality viewers (Google cardboard headsets). Faculty may check out the set on a first-come, first served basis.
