Tips and Information on using library resources to study for the GED

Lone Star College Students have access to online test preparation materials such as Tutorials, eBooks, and Practice Test for the GED and other common test through Learning Express.

Accessing Learning Express

To access Learning Express resources from off campus, you will need to enter the Library Barcode Number on the back of your Student ID. If you don't have a Student ID, you can get one at the North Harris Library Circulation Desk. Click for More Information on Getting Your Student ID

The first time you visit the Learning Express website, you will need to create an account. Click the Sign In/Register link in the blue bar at the top of the page.

At the next screen, click the Register button under New User

Complete the information on the New User Registration Page and then click Register at the bottom of the page.

Finding GED Materials

Learning Express contains test preparation resources for a number of exams. To view materials for the GED from anywhere on the Learning Express Website click the Home link in the blue bar at the top of the page. From the Home Page, click High School Equivalency Center, and then click Prepare for the GED Test.

You will now be given a list of practice materials for the GED. If you are not already logged in to the site, you will be asked to do so before you can access the material. Remember: This is the username and password you created for this site, not your My Lonestar username and password.
