Tips and Information on using library resources to study for the GED

Lone Star-North Harris Library has a number of Books and eBooks to help with preparing for the GED available to students.

Items marked as Electronic Resource are Electronic Books, or eBooks, that you can read within a web browser. Some eBooks make have other options for reading, like downloading as a PDF.

To access eBooks from off-campus, you will need the Library Barcode Number on the back of your Student ID. Click for Information on Getting Your Student ID

Book

Items marked as Book are print books at the Lone Star-North Harris Library. Most books can be checked out. Some books have special restrictions, like In Library Use Only, or may be in a special section of the library.

If you would like to check out a book, you'll need the complete Title of the book and the Call Number. If possible, please print out the page with information about the book. This will make it easier for library staff to help you find the book.

If you have trouble finding a book on the shelf, you can ask for help at the 2nd Floor Circulation Desk or the 3rd Floor Reference Desk.

When you find your book, take it to the 2nd Floor Circulation Desk to Checkout.
